Vaz Té and Michalik Loaned

March 10, 2007

New Slovakian signing Lubomir Michalik has been loaned out to Championship Side Leeds United.  It’s only a month and he will return April ninth.  Michalik signed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Whites during the January transfer window, and this is really the first time his name has popped up since.  Hopefully Michalik will be ready to play in the back when Ben Haim almost surely leaves in the summer.

The other White just recently announced to be on loan is Ricardo Vaz Té.  Vaz Té has also been loaned for a month to Championship Side Hull City.  Undoubtedly get Vaz Té some first team expierence, and some playing time, but many a Whites supporter will tell you Vaz Té’s disappearance leaves us a little shallow up front.  Realistically, Vaz Té probably couldn’t have gotten that time and expierence playing with the Whites if only Big Sam would recognize Stelios’ recent poor showings.  Now in the seventieth minute when we’re behind, and Stelios looks like garbage, who do we have to put up front?
